Improve SEO on Your Health & Fitness Website

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) isn’t as hard as you think …

To improve SEO on your health and fitness website (or any other website), just ask yourself,

“What would my ideal client google?”

Then explore how many times that phrase (or related phrases) appear on your website.

These are your KEYWORDS! You know, WORDS that are KEY to your success ….

For example, if your clients would google “Personal trainer in Mansfield” yet you make no mention of Mansfield or personal training on your website, then chances are you’re not going to come up highly in the search results.

So how where and how can you get those keywords in???

Well, firstly there are lots of places where you can add them to your site for Google and other search engines to pick up. We’re talking header tags, meta tags, meta descriptions etc but the easiest way to improve SEO for those that don’t really like technology is to blog … seriously.

Blogging is just a way of sharing your knowledge and expertise, so it’s a no-brainer to do it …

Blogs can come in VERY handy for SEO purposed.

People love to read things they find on the internet. But you have to make it easy for them. There’s only so many times you can mention the same phrase on one page without it starting to sound robotic or just plain SEO-manipulatey (yes, that is a made up word). BUT in blogs you can write 100s of posts with your keyword(s) and key phrases in without it seeming unnatural. And you want it to sound natural so that your ideal clients will WANT to read it and WANT to SHARE it with their friends. They’re not going to share crap are they ….?

Technically speaking, Google loves a site with lots of *quality* pages talking about the same thing in new and interesting ways rather than one page talking about the same thing over and over again. And, by quality, I mean at least 300 words, with headers, with images, with ALT tags and with your keyword(s) (and variations) dotted about *sensibly*.

So next time, BEFORE, you start to write a page or a post on your website, ask yourself, what words will my ideal client use and what words do I want to use to help them find this page/post/site .….

Oh, and just so you know, I can actually do it for you …. http://fitbizpa.com/fitpro-blogs/
